Noisebringers "Is the new punk"
Analix Forever Gallery in Geneva is celebrating the beginning of its 30th anniversary (to go on until October 21) by inviting the Noisebringers, an improvisation collective that has been active for over a year but for the first time in a gallery. The Noisebringers are bringing noise in all possible and unimaginable areas, music, objects, art, games, performances, books, poetry, and more. The three members of the collective, Brice Catherin, Maria Sappho and Henry McPherson are top artist-musicians who one day decided that love is even more important than music: love for life, friendship, creation, fables, mythology, speculative storytelling, transformation. They love, laugh, create, think inside out, together. The Noisebringer invited Gino along with twenty-one artists-creators-improvisers-poets-musicians-performers-teachers.to exhibit, perform, play music, read poetry and create online collaborations. Gino made sculpture, collage drawings, binary drawings (book of words) and painted QR codes linking to animations to be played and performed to live in the gallery and online. He made a large biodegradable drawing installation called "Firestarters" on the bank of the River Ouse in Buckingham. To both create a dialogue with The Analix Forever Gallery in Switzerland and as a symbol of renewal.

Firestarters
Firestarters is an installation taking form from the Algonguin word ponk. Thought to be where Punk derived its meaning, a firestarter associated with disruption and renewal. For this large drawing installation (made during lockdown) Gino used handmade charcoal and mixed poured concrete - tipped into frames, creating hardened surfaces. He sited these at the bottom of his garden on the bank of the River Ouse. Gino lay the large drawings on the river bank where the weather and water gradually eroded the drawings creating a direct response to the Noisebringers exhibition in Switzerland. He intended his drawings to sound out between the two spaces as the Charcoal became eroded and was washed away from the surface of the concrete. Continuing on a journey through air, water, time and space. Gino made recordings of the process to symbolise renewal. The recordings were made into a sound album titled. "Ebb and Flow"
